Attack on Titan: The two television characters who inspired the author to create Gabi and Falco

Attack on Titan is still one of those anime that everyone continues and looks forward to their last season. Together with a few other works, it is the most watched and fashionable anime of the moment, with a fairly well-planned plot that mixes political problems and generational shocks next to a conglomerate of incredible explosions and fights in which humans must stand up to the Titans.

Throughout all these years we have seen how Even's life has gone through all kinds of emotions, from the sadness of losing his mother to hope that he could finally know the truth about the whole world around him. And it is that the discovery of all this marks a before and after in the whole work, presenting new quite interesting characters from which we highlight two above all: Gobi and Falcon. But they become even more special with Okayama's statements this weekend at the NYC 2022 anime.

two quite interesting inspirations

The author of the most wanted manga of recent times revealed during a conference that these two characters were inspired by certain pseudo-protagonists of series that he was seeing at the time he was creating these individuals.

Карма

Gabi-Arya Stark

For many, Gobi is one of the greatest villains today in the world of anime for the things he has done to certain characters loved by the public. However, the character's background is quite interesting and little by little we have managed to understand the reason for many attitudes. It is very strong with its principles and determined to what you should do, even if you have to kill; Something that reminds us of Okayama's inspiration: Arya Stark.

The little girl from the Stark family became a ruthless murderer after her father's death thanks to the God of death, and her evolution of character to become one of the most beloved in the series is enough to admire.

Falco-Mese Linkman

Another of the great members in the new stage of Attack on Titan has been Falcon, who with his narrative line and relationship with his brother has put our colleagues in the Liberation Army in a check. However, he knows that he has to play his cards well if he does not want to fall quickly, and will always be next to his partner Porch who helped him in his most difficult moments.

Well, Okayama's great inspiration to create this character was nothing more and nothing less than Jesse Linkman, Walter White's co-worker in Breaking Bad. Considered by many as the best series that has ever been done, Linkman's character development from the first chapter to the last one is eventually good, with a career full of ups and downs and very hard moments for him and those around him.

Of course, there are two characters that do not go unnoticed and that, above all, mark a different and necessary point of view to attack on the Titans. Because we had always seen Even and company like the good ones of the movie, but... what if in reality there are no good or bad?
