Elden Ring class list: every confirmed class so far

The starting classes in FromSoftware’s recent collection of games have always been essential in deciding which way you want to tackle their brutally difficult stories. Elder Ring’s class list brings forth new and exciting entries to the pre-existing system whilst keeping the same structure. The classes themselves offer the player different attribute templates, with some classes being high in strength and vigor and others high in faith and arcane. These builds give players a starting point to work towards their desired play style, making levelling up their favorite stats and tackling Elder Ring’s hardest bosses as easy as possible.

The recent Elder Ring closed network test gave us a glimpse of what will be in store in terms of a class list, outlining five exciting new classes for players to choose from. We can only presume that this is not the complete Elder Ring class list as typically FromSoftware’s other games have roughly double the amount of classes available, but we’ll be sure to update this guide once more are revealed.

Here is the Elder Ring class list that we know of so far and what to expect from each build.

Elder Ring class list

Here are the five confirmed classes within Elder Ring so far:

The Warrior Enchanted Knight Prophet Champion Bloody Wolf

Warrior

Starting with 15 dexterity and 13 endurance, the Warrior class is designed for people wanting faster-paced combat. Suited for short swords, bananas, and other skill-based weapons, the Warrior gives players an early opportunity to flex their fanciest attacks.

The class comes complete with a nomad’s blue cloth armor, a buckler shield perfect for parrying, and dual scimitars for double the attacks.

Enchanted Knight

Next up in the Elder Ring class list is the Enchanted Knight, and as you can guess by the name it offers a mix between magic and strength.

This class offers the highest base intelligence at 16, giving players the chance to cast some of the strongest (and best looking) groceries Elder Ring has to offer, alongside a handy increase to magic defense and attack.

Prophet

Perfect for players who want to stay as far away from the enemies as possible, the Prophet class will make incantation spells available with its focus on the faith attribute. T

He incantations available within the network test were some of the most breathtaking spells we have seen in any FromSoftware game so far, with the flame-spouting Dragon fire spell being the most visually impressive.

Champion

There is a slight crossover between the former Prophet and the Champion class as they both are great at casting incantation spells. However, players will be much more comfortable in the face of more aggressive enemies with higher vigor and strength stats.

It also gives those wanting more of a rugged and barbaric look the perfect alternative to the more fashionable outfits of some other classes.

Bloody Wolf

The most well-rounded option in the Elder Ring class list comes in the form of the Bloody Wolf class. While it is weaker if you’re looking to insert some spells into your arsenal, the Bloody Wolf gives players an excellent range of starting stats in all the close combat-focused attributes.

Complete with a great starting weapon in the Bastard Sword and arguably the best looking armor we’ve seen so far, you really can’t go wrong with the Bloody Wolf.

That covers the entire Elder Ring class list that we know of so far – there is certainly a class here to suit most people’s play style.
